My oldest Ryleigh, is a product of an abusive relationship. I was 18 and knew everything. He was in his 20’s and had all the red flags. This is the child that saved my life. But like the pregnancy her life would not be easy. From a saved start of a miscarriage, mental and emotional abuse, 3 restarts, a birth defect and her own domestic violence relationship she has had her own share of struggles. With a grade 1 anterolisthesis of L5 on S1 with L5 pars defect, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and currently being observed for PTSD.

Lucas, my baby boy. He is a fighter. The pregnancy was rough and I developed pre-eclampsia postpartum as well as postpartum depression and sever postpartum aggression. I wouldn’t be until he was 8 months old that he would have a much bigger fight on his hands. On a seeming ok night, he went to bed an hour early and slept in late, but much to my surprise when I found my son lethargic in my bed. We almost lost our son because of something we did not know. Those 2 each hours between bottles made a huge difference. Born with Jacob’s Syndrome which is having an extra Y chromosome and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome NIPBL type 1. We found that Lucas has hypoglycemia do to not being able to storage fat and sugars as the body is suppose to. Lucas also has a battle neurologically. He has Autism and ADHD. No Lucas is not his diagnosis’s

And now for the finale. Miss Amelia Alma-Louise! She was a hard one to get here. battling Gestational Diabetes and Pre-eclampsia with serve features was not easy fight. Constant blood work, scan, ultrasounds, NST testing’s, a brain MRI, sugar checks, and insulin sticks. Amelia’s first name comes from my great grandma and her middle names come from my grandma Alma Louise Zykan. we were in our first round of medication to get pregnant. the day I ovulated is the day my step mom asked to call me to tell me my grandma passed away. My dad suggested Amelia which had been on my list but didn’t know it had a family connection. Amelia is just as stubborn as the women she is named after. She was born at 37 weeks in respiratory distress which sent her to the NICU where we found out she had a congenital heart defect, and the testing for Cornelia de lange syndrome, and yes she does have it. After heart surgery to fix her aorta at 4 months, it would only be a matter of months before we would find out she also has scoliosis.

Ashley J’s Creations LLC was created to be a business that focused on making only natural products that are not packed with unnecessary harmful chemicals, but most importantly to allow me to be a stay at home mom. when our weeks are full of trips to ST. Louis Children’s hospital 1-4 times a week for appointments and Therapies. Ashley J’s allows me to be just that a mom/nurse/therapist/everything under the sun for my kids, but also keep some sanity.
